Romney Campaign Laptops Stolen

Thieves broke into presidential candidate Mitt Romney's campaign headquarters in Boston, MA, on September 9, 2007, and stole multiple laptops in what appeared to be a "routine" burglary.

A spokesman for the campaign stated that campaign personnel were not worried because the hard drives on the laptops were fully encrypted and password-protected. Thus, the campaign is confident that no data can be obtained from the stolen devices.
