Laptop of VeriSign Employee Stolen
VeriSign, a digital vendor that offers certain security services along with domain management, announced that a laptop that contains personal information of current and former employees was stolen from an employee's car in July 2007.
While it appears that the theft is a "routine" burglary, VeriSign is taking the matter rather seriously. The laptop itself was not encrypted but was, apparently, "protected" with a username and password.
